Carr Lane and Church Side |
|
Carr Lane, starting at the Church, leads to the River Ancholme some one and a half miles east. A fine bridge over the river - Saxby Bridge - is worth the walk if you are feeling energetic! Church Side round the most easterly side of the village contains more fine examples of the Estate Cottages and other old buildings, with some modern additions in between. |

The Photos: Two views of Carr Lane taken on May 4th 2004. The second photograph shows Carr Lane leading out of the village towards the River Ancholme. |
