Appleby NewsLitter:
The total weight of litter collected now stands at 20 tons!
We have filled over 1000 black sacks to date!
As well as tv’s, gas cylinders, wheels and other large items,
we have also removed an astonishing 78 tyres from our verges!

Welcome to the Appleby Website!

The ‘Appleby - Lincolnshire’ web site, launched in 2003, is a purely personal project created to provide a virtual presence for our beautiful village on the world wide web.

Appleby is rich in history and agricultural tradition, boasting a beautiful Church and stunning village architecture including the 18th century stone cottages, Estate Cottages from the 19th century and the locally renowned Thatched Cottage!

Set in wonderfully rural surroundings it has retained a sense of community and self worth. I am proud to share with you some of the sights, characters and wonders, old and new, that have helped to form my love of Appleby and its heritage, together with an accompaniment of illustrative stories, photographs and poetry.

We welcome contributions from residents ‘old and new’!
